No, i havent found anything to eat that feels like i need kimchi to enjoy it. Perhaps theres some weird chinese dish i havent tried which it would go well with though. Im thinking if you dont have any rice maybe you want it more.

Tried it twice but you need to buy very good quality napa cabbage for it to taste good. Not many market gardeners grow it

I used to not like until I tried it at a local Korean restaurant in the Philippines. There's a huge difference than the ones in the us and outside of Asia from what I was told. Apparently they use something persevere that doesnt make it smell and taste different.
