Yes normal wages, I was APPALLED when I learned not so long ago that they have old time wages. 2 dollars?? TWO DOLLARS?
Do you know the origin story on why they were left purposefully when they were raising wages of all other professions? Besides the tips I mean.

@greensnacks there was a high end restaurant in New York which tried that approach, it failed.

@samueltyler2 diiid you try to not tip , or did you try to gather signatures for a petition to raise the minimum wage for waiters in the US? 😀

@samueltyler2 there was a trend in high end restaurants there about 10 years ago and it faded. US consumers appear to love to maneuver tax, tips, fees, rounding up to $.99, sales, club card discounts, etc. anything but "this costs X" even though we complain about it.

@JonLosAngeles66 not a restaurant, but JC Penny did away with running sales and rounded up to the dollar. Just keeping prices as low as they could. It failed miserably as well.
