Apples. Pears. Strawberries. Raspberries. Blackberries. French beans. Runner beans (been awful this year probably due to drought like conditions) courgettes. Tomatoes. All currently available.

Onions. Potatoes. Cabbages. Brussels. Lettuce. Spinach. Rhubarb and gooseberries hopefully for the winter months.

I've made that much jam and preseves this year I've no room to store any more and I've enough pies. Pastries and cakes stored in freezers i won't buy anything probably for best part of next year.

With pricing and availability the way it is, makes sense to utilise your garden 😀

@Picklebobble2 we did that in our last house as it had a massive garden with many fruit trees. My runner beans look healthy but have hardly had any beans too. As you say the drought like conditions. I've got a large pot of rhubarb but cant pick it the first year. Nice too to eat your own produce.

i would die to have a garden this year 🥺

Just some cherry tomatoes, I'm a full on flower and landscape gardener now.
JimboSaturn · 56-60, M
@meggie Oh me too! Gardening has become my #1 hobby. I wish I did that as a career lol
meggie · F
@JimboSaturn a lot of gardening is seasonal work.
JimboSaturn · 56-60, M
@meggie Yes that's the problem. It probably doesn't pay as well as my current job and I'm getting older. Maybe just a full-time hobby is good enough lol
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@meggie as to flowers. Here are 2 pots of flowers and a big pot of basil in flower.

I grow flowers. If I tried to grow food the homeless dudes would take it. I live in the middle of a big ugly city where greed is all that matters.
Smokey · 51-55, M
Cucumbers, tomatoes, green peppers, Anaheim peppers, banana peppers, radishes, lettuce, green beans, carrots, and green onions
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
I stopped trying since , moving into an apartment. I buy from local farmers. I grow herbs on our balcony, basil, chives, oregano, thyme and parsley.

Adrift · 61-69, F
@samueltyler2 I have tried wicking buckets and they work pretty good.
I built them out of 5 gal buckets.
I have grown pepper plants and cucumbers in them.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@Adrift we grew tomatoes, but really decided it was more work than it was worth. we have no water source on our balconies, so we have to lug water buckets out.
ShenaniganFoodie · 41-45, M
I have a fruitcake in my back lawn sometimes

samueltyler2 · 80-89, M

Mindful · 56-60, F
Impressive! In an above ground box we have basal, mint, rosemary, and tomatoes that grow and make it. We've tried berries and cucumbers unsuccessfully. The plant grows but doesn't bear full grown anything.
Zonuss · 46-50, M
None. But if I could if would be watermelons.
Musicman · 61-69, M
None. Our soil is sand. To grow anything we have to make an above ground bed and bring in real dirt.
