I love cherries. The best ones I have ever had were from British Columbia, years ago. I have not seen them in local stores since then.

I LOVE Bing cherries!!! Are THOSE the kind they grow in Michigan? I LOVE Bing cherries!!!!

My grandparents had sour cherry trees in their front yard...in far western Nebraska these were all they could grow...and the only thing you could do with them was make pies!

@OverTheHill Yeah...your tart cherries are what I call "sour" cherries...pie cherries. SWEET cherries are just amazing, though.

They are marvelous. Here in northwest lower Michigan the cherry crop has been reduced to 40 million lbs., as opposed to 230 million. Late freeze, mostly.
My favorite stand is absent this year😒

@Carla I am in Michigan as well (the middle of the mitten). There also has been the replacement of some of the Cherry Farms for new wineries.

@OverTheHill they have. But the old trees. Cherry farming is a very volatile business. As we see by this years harvest.
Our peninsulas are prime grape growing areas. The transition only made sense.
