@bijouxbroussard I don't think he cares... I just hate that he complains to me. Like o. Should care
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Mellowgirl Some people want to moan but don’t want to make any changes. It’s pathetic really.
Mellowgirl · 31-35, F
@cherokeepatti agreed
hunkalove · 61-69, M
My father was like that. All he ate was burnt meat and some form of potatoes. If he had fruit or veggies they came from a can. And all he drank was instant coffee. Lived to be not quite 96.

@hunkalove Wow!!! Medical wonder!!

I've known people who say they hate drinking water. I don't trust those people. Humans are about 60% water; if you hate water, you hate yourself.
assemblingaknob · 26-30, F
@SW-User oh so that's why I have self esteem issues?
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
I worked with a woman who hated to drink water, she preferred coffee or soft drinks. She did eat fruit & veggies though. She got bladder cancer after she retired and died from it.

@rosyhills A Berkey filter with two sets of filters
Mellowgirl · 31-35, F
@cherokeepatti Yea i have a brita filter at home. I find if the waters cold I feels solid going down my throat.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Mellowgirl I used to have a Brita filter. But the problem is that although it may make the water taste better it doesn’t reduce heavy metals. I live in a city where some of the water wells that were used for part of the city for water was tested and had high levels of ARSENIC in it. I lived in an apartment complex for 11 years where it was the water source, tasted good, had no chlorine in it either. After I moved out students demanded a copy of the water testing. The university president had the person in charge to delay it so much that they finally got a test and it came back high in arsenic. The students put it on the front page of the newspaper. I moved to another apartment before that happened and we were on city water from the water plant. I used a Brita filter because of the chlorine taste in the water. About 6 years later the city had the water tested and it came back high in CHROMIUM HEXAVALENT, another heavy metal that is not good for health. One of the highest levels in the entire USA. I had a refrigerator filter and thought that was taking those metals out. But about 3 years ago the power went out during an ice storm and couldn’t get the water from the refrigerator. So I drank bottled water all day and into the evening. That night when I laid down to sleep I could feel my thyroid gland vibrating, it does that when I detox and lose weight. Just one day with clean water was enough to start that detox. I haven’t drank unfiltered water since. I went to the health food store and bought it by the gallon or bought it in bottles till I got my Berkey filter. I got a Covid Stimulus check and used it to buy the filter and extra set of chlorine filters. I have detoxed with celery juice for a month & hope that helped to remove some of those heavy metals from my body. I also use that filtered water and fill ice cube trays instead of using the ice maker on the refrigerator.

A friend of mine has an adult son who eats no fruit or vegetables. He won't even put onions on his hamburger!
I am not sure about water, but I am going to guess that's a "no" judging from the cases of cola he has stacked up in his apartment, as if that's a staple.

@NativePortlander1970 there have been 2 people who went blind because they didn’t eat veggies and fruits. One was a boy who’s only veggie was French fries. He got his eyesight back in his early 30’s after going on a healthier diet
@cherokeepatti My stepsister's ex brother in law drank nothing but mountain dew for years, the caffeine eventually ate a hole in his stomache and ended up on dialysis for kidney failure.
