That moment when you make French toast for dinner...

... and then discover you have no syrup in the house!
Ferric67 · M
Use honey, it's better for you
Ferric67 · M
@ViciDraco I put peanut butter and honey on French toast all time actually. I would have suggested it to you, but I didn't want to come across as too dramatic,
ViciDraco · 36-40, M
@Ferric67 Haha. That might be a little too sweet for me for these days. I tend to go light on the syrup as it is when I have it.
@ViciDraco peanut butter is always my first choice. Very good call.
My grandma used to make it homemade each time. It was so delicious.
I assumed at the time that it was cheaper but it sure was good. It was better than any syrup I've ever had. @ViciDraco

@Spoiledbrat I don't doubt. I get that result from making cake frosting at home. It's hard to do anything cheaper at home yourself these days though, due to shake of industry. But you can still get quality per price.

@ViciDraco It's simple, two cups sugar, one cup water, teaspoon vanilla, teaspoon flavoring.
DrWatson · 70-79, M
It's good with just butter and sugar.

Nowadays, I am cutting back on sugar, so I use butter and cinnamon.

Actually, I don't use butter anymore. I use an omega-oil spread.

I'll stop. Can you tell I am getting old? 😄
ViciDraco · 36-40, M
@DrWatson that's okay, i fried it up in olive oil instead of butter. I know where you're at. Though i do like me some butter.

@DrWatson that's what I use👍
