My grandma used to make it homemade each time. It was so delicious.

@Spoiledbrat it still turned out good. Regular store bought bread. Used duck eggs for the batter because we have so many. I used a little bit of peanut butter for the sweetness since there was no syrup and it worked very well.
I mean the syrup. @ViciDraco

I assumed at the time that it was cheaper but it sure was good. It was better than any syrup I've ever had. @ViciDraco

@Spoiledbrat I don't doubt. I get that result from making cake frosting at home. It's hard to do anything cheaper at home yourself these days though, due to shake of industry. But you can still get quality per price.
@ViciDraco It's simple, two cups sugar, one cup water, teaspoon vanilla, teaspoon flavoring.
