@saragoodtimes Yes, when I can find large enough artichokes. My favorite recipe for this is:
Orzo: toast it in a pan, until it's brown. Cover with water, add sliced mushrooms, lemon juice, garlic, sun-dried tomatoes, some fresh chopped up oregano, stir until the orzo is cooked, and then pour over the steamed artichoke hearts.
@saragoodtimes Who is katie? I've heard a lot about artichokes, apparently if cooked right it should be delicious, and you kind of suck off the plant meat from the leaves.
@MartinTheFirst cut about 1/4 inch off the top trim the points off the remaining bottom leaves. soak them in a pan full of water with about a 1/2 cup of lemon juice for 1/2 hour. spread the leaves open stuff them with a mixture of Italian bread crumbs, grated parmesan cheese, a couple cloves of minced garlic ,salt and pepper to taste. put them in a pot and bring cold water about 3/4 of the way up the leaves. cover and bring to a boil then turn the heat to low keep covered and simmer for about an hour and a half until a leaf just slides out with little resistance . ENJOY Katie is our daughter
