@CassandraFemale17: Too hard to say whether he was just feeling really awkward in general or what, but you probably did a lot less damage to him by showing up, listening to him talk about fencing, and giving him the 'date experience' you did, even if it was awkward for you. This is what I mean by it's not all about you. Some guys might need to have a few positive learning experiences over the course of their lives in order to give them the confidence which others simply take for granted. Not everyone is automatically perfectly experienced dating material. You could feel good about it since you probably helped him out in some ways, and I hope you enjoy your tea.

@Peekaboo: I wasn't interviewing him. It was the other way around, but rather stiffly. As though he was told to keep the conversation about me. It was like a list of questions rather than a free flow of convo. Other than that, it was all archery and fencing.
