Can I drink coffee that's not filtered?

Atleast it settled my cravings

Wondering if you could create a makeshift filter with a paper towel (like a coffee tea bag) and let it steep in the boiled water

Cowboys used to do it all the time, the grounds mostly settle to the bottom but there will still be some residue in the coffee.

Use a clean sock that you don’t mind tossing after if you’re really itching for the caffeine fix

Make camp coffee
Boil water in a pot. Add coffee. Simmer to desired strength.
Remove from heat. Add a splash of cold water to make grinds settle out.

Pour coffee and enjoy

Before I got a coffee maker, I used instant coffee. The coffee just dissolved in the hot water. When that ran out, I got ground coffee, and a little wire cup to put it in, and let it float in my coffee cup to brew.

I would heat up water in one cup in the microwave, and put the coffee wire cup in another, and pour in the hot water. I used the second cup because the first cup got way too hot in the microwave for my lips.

I finally got a coffee maker, but I still use the wire cup at times if I only want on cup, and not a whole pot.

You’ll still have the ground up coffee, it won’t hurt you but might make your coffee a bit chewy
