Can I drink coffee that's not filtered?

My coffee maker broke, So basically I wanna boil milk in a small pan and make coffee but I don't have strainer. I'm craving coffee

Wondering if you could create a makeshift filter with a paper towel (like a coffee tea bag) and let it steep in the boiled water

@WaryWitchWandering or a piece of cotton cloth, that would be a good filter.
