Chocolate is nasty now

It started with the Cadbury bars a few years ago, they wouldn't melt right and they taste weird like there's gum or starch in it or something. Now lindt tastes the same.
I'm actually chucking out a lindt bunny for the first time in my entire life because it tastes awful. Not sweet, not chocolatey, just a faint hint of cheap tasting chocolate (like advent calendar chocolate from the nintees) and this bizarre starchy taste and texture. Am I imagining it?

I dont eat much candy but when i do Ive noticed quality declines in alot of foods lately. 2 likely explainations. 1 cost are up so quality ingredients are being substitute for cheap ones to keep prices stable or. Bc of tarriffs and rising costs quality ingreidients are being substituted by domestic knockoffs.
Be ready for declining quality and\or increased costs and\or smaller portions same price.
