I have eaten in Chinatowns in San Francisco (don't ask me for restaurant names -- it has been a long time!), New York, and Boston.

After experiencing those, Panda Express just doesn't cut it! lol

There used to be a truly awful one near us in Minnesota. Years ago, I was puzzled when the Chinese student we were sponsoring kept raving about it. Finally, one time we went there with him. He asked to speak to the owner. The two of them had an enthusiastic conversation in Chinese, after which food appeared on that table, the likes of which I had never seen at that place before!

Afterwards, he once went there with a friend when the owner was not present. As he put it, "When the owner isn't there, it sucks!"

My favorite Chinese restaurant in Boston, which sadly is no longer there, was called...."The Golden Gate!"

@DrWatson My aunt and uncle have moved away from Boston, where I'm from and they always say, I can't find Chinese food as good as home! I have an awesome place not from me and am very grateful. I've never been to The Golden Gate! Sad it shut down.

It's been a long time since I have been in Boston (I was there for college.) I remember Chinatown as being very small. I'm glad there is still good Chinese food to be found in the city!

@itsok i have potstickers in my freezer.. i microwave them in a bit of water and then pour sprite and pepper over them 😅
