Chinese take out from the grocery store, had to get bread and milk, and going by this smelled good. Spicy General Tso's chixken, orange chicken, fried rice, egg roll, sweet and sour dipping sauce, and a fortune cookie.
@Gibbon I just remembered something, did You ever watch Martin Yan cook in the 80's on PBS? He once did an episode on Chinese coniments and sauces, he said that if the commercial yellow mustard didn't have vinegar in it, it would be much hotter than the Chinese stuff, that it helps to cut down spice heat when added at certain times.
@Gibbon I watched Yan Can Cook religiously, him and Justin Wilson were the funniest :) Oh yeah, that stuff is real good, I still remember my first run in with it. I was 19 and got my first real paycheck after high school, my third cousin and I went to a casual Chinese place about 20 minutes SW of DownTown Portland in Beaverton, called the Canyon Pearl. We ordered an appetizer of tempura chicken and they brought out mustard with it, so I took a big dip of it, the next thing I know our server put a big glass of milk in front of me, that started my love of hot sauces.
@beermeplease There used to be a popular "reality show" on HGTV called "My Lottery Dream House", where lottery winners looked at dream houses that were close to their winnings, which means they'd probably lose them within five years because they wouldn't be able to afford the payments and property taxes.
@NativePortlander1970 I know! Few people have that allergic reaction but I'm even affected the same way if I'm in the same room where tequila is being served.
