When I was in Vegas I had the Acoustic Breakfast at The Hard Rock Cafe, loved it.

@Ben1000 I hope you can come soon. 🙂

@Musicman Almost always when I go to Denny's or a local place called "The Big Biscuit" :) At home it's oftern the best 3 out of 4 and often pancakes or bacon and a fried eggs in the mix. Another nearby breakfast place called "Flap Jack's", and yet another called "Best Regards", both that are close to serving all my favorites. Opps,I almost forgot "Snooze" and "First Watch", two more breakfast places within a stone throw.

Is that also happening in other cities? So many breakfast/brunch restaurants?

Opps? almost forgot IHop, yet another one nearby. All very popular and pretty crowded. Some pretty creative. Like breakfast at Snooze is an adventure.

@Heartlander I usually frequent mom and pop places.
@Musicman

An interesting adventure some years ago was to make a list of as many mom and pop places as possible, asking others for their suggestions since many small mom and pop places don't advertise and may be in other than major strip malls and go unnoticed. Amazed at how many, and in some cases how tiny. We went through the list, one a week and made about 15 before winter intercepted our adventure. It was a lot of fun, great experiment. One thing I learned was how some had really loyal customer bases, like family with the staff knowing their names. I still frequent a couple, 10+ years later. One small Greek place only has 2 tables, still my favorite Greek restaurant.

@Heartlander That's wonderful 😊 So what was your favorite mom and pop breakfast place?
Gibbon · 70-79, M
Eggs over well, French toast, a pound of bacon, sausage patties, a bowl of shredded mini wheats, tall glass of orange, coffee with French cream.

@Musicman He's gonna TRY!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Gibbon · 70-79, M
@Musicman you have to understand it's the bacon. It just drives endless consumption. 😜
Gibbon · 70-79, M
@4meAndyou you can bet on it 😜
Nimbus · M
Minus the eggs!

Nimbus · M
@Gibbon btw, I dislike Pizza and eggs too! 😛
Nimbus · M
@NeddyKelly Now you're talkin' ;)
Gibbon · 70-79, M
@Nimbus @NeddyKelly Blood pudding? Now there's a real Barfer.
exexec · 70-79, C
2 eggs scrambled, grits with lots of butter, country cured ham, toast with peach preserves, OJ, coffee
Musicman · 61-69, M
@exexec Hopefully you will go out for lunch with the guys after your game.
exexec · 70-79, C
@Musicman No. We finished early, so I had my usual sandwich.
Musicman · 61-69, M
@exexec You are definitely due for a good meal. 😋
FWIW, I just checked the menu at The Big Biscuit, a popular local, multi-location breakfast place, and what most here reference as the ultimate in breakfast items would cost between $13 and $17+ for the food alone. Add in the coffee, tax and tip and the total cost would be about $23 or more.
WillaKissing · 61-69, M
Sausage gravy over two fresh biscuits with two over easy eggs on top a side of bacon and French toast with blue berries.

And then a place to nap!
Musicman · 61-69, M
@WillaKissing I like your thinking! 😋
WillaKissing · 61-69, M
@Musicman Oh, heck yeah I knew you would!
4meAndyou · F
Hmmm. Strawberry shortcake pancakes and bacon!
4meAndyou · F
@Musicman I don't really like eggs.
Musicman · 61-69, M
@4meAndyou Sadly I don't either. I need something else with them to mask the taste.
4meAndyou · F
@Musicman They are okay if you use them to make an omelette...and stuff the omelette with green onions, ham, cheese and bacon...☺☺☺
eyeno · M
With rice...

Musicman · 61-69, M
@eyeno That looks really good 😊
Biscuits and gravy, a one egg western omelet, hash browns and cheesy grits. Coffee and fresh squeezed OJ.
Musicman · 61-69, M
@Heartlander Yummy 😋 How often are you able to have this?
nobodyishome · 31-35, F
Idly vada chutney sambar. Vada pav
Musicman · 61-69, M
