Is beer just for guys

It's not just for guys but it's marketed more towards guys partly because of old fashioned notions of beer being a masculine drink. In the US the percentages of men and women who drink beer are very similar, but men drink a lot more of it. That might also be a factor for targeting men in beer commercials.
