I just can't trust the judgement of someone who says cake is better than pie.

The worst pie is still folds better than the best cake.

Cake is for children, it is just damp sugary bread. Carrot cake and pumpkin roll are really the only non-disgusting exceptions. Pie can be so many things and has so many dimensions. It's the clear choice of the refined and matrue pallet.
