Does spaghetti with butter and spinach sound good to you?

Running low on food and it's too cold to go back out. Also I have cheddar cheese 🙂‍↔

I have sauteed spinach in oil with garlic and put it on spaghetti. I am sure that butter would work too!
Lilymoon · F
@DrWatson excellent
IM5688 · 61-69, M
Not a big spinach fan, but butter and/or cheddar cheese on pasta is great. It'll fill you up, warm you up, and give you energy. (It may also add a few pounds, but we won't get into that.)...LOL
hunkalove · 61-69, M
I often have spaghetti with butter and whatever else I can find. Onion, maybe broccoli and celery, parmesan cheese. It's filling and good for you. It's also depressing.
Lilymoon · F
@hunkalove why depressing?
DailyFlash · 56-60, M
Sure! Make sure you salt the water! And save a little pasta water when the pasta is done. If you take the pasta out just before it's totally done, you can toss it in a pan over medium heat with the butter and a 1/2 cup of pasta water. Toss until the pasta water is absorbed. It will make for a very silky buttery sauce!

@DailyFlash thank you sounds great
DailyFlash · 56-60, M
@Lilymoon next time!
LunarOrbit · 56-60, M
Just for future idea

Fresh sage chopped fine simmered in butter for 10 minutes or more.

Strain (if you dont want sage pieces in your teeth) and top your pasta with it.

Add grated Parmesan if you like.

Enjoy
Lilymoon · F
@LunarOrbit just sage and butter?
LunarOrbit · 56-60, M
@Lilymoon Yup. ☺
LunarOrbit · 56-60, M
@Lilymoon fresh sage.
Sevendays · M
I like that, well, without the butter and spinach. Can you add meatballs and bolognese please? 😂
Northwest · M
Do you julienne onions, sauté them in olive oil until brown, then add the spinach and stir until cooked, add lemon juice and then add to spaghetti, and then sprinkle some pomegranate seed before serving? Then sure.
Lilymoon · F
@Northwest butter, no seeds, no onions 😛
Northwest · M
@Lilymoon Done that, but it always feels as if there's something missing.
Lilymoon · F
@Northwest the garlic mixed with the butter and spinach is heavenly 🤤
ArtieKat · M
I had my dinner a couple of hours ago but my mouth is watering now. You have the makings of a delicious meal there!
Elessar · 26-30, M
Nah it'll turn messy, spinach are already stringy and they won't mix well with stringy pasta. You need something that contain them, like cannelloni
Lilymoon · F
@Elessar it turned out surprisingly good... added garlic and a sprinkle of white cheddar on top 🤤
Elessar · 26-30, M
@Lilymoon I'm too fussy with the food's texture 🥴

Try Parmigiano w/ the butter next run (the actual thing possibly, not the American knockoff 🙈)
Lilymoon · F
@Elessar I will!
BobbyMoeven · 51-55, M
It really does ..be good if you had some fresh garlic as well .
Lilymoon · F
@BobbyMoeven I did!! 😋
popmol · 26-30, M
no to the cheddar cheese but other than that sounds fine enough!
LunarOrbit · 56-60, M
Oh….

Try whole wheat cattelli spaghetti. Different texture but good for you
Yes, i do that because i like it. I put fresh parm on it if i have it
Lilymoon · F
@Bexsy And easy too
KingofBones1 · 46-50, M
I don't know about the spinach, but the rest of it sounds great.And do I get aside of lily moon with it
metaldog · 51-55, F
Totally yes 😋
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
Cook the spaghetti partially in water, finish it by frying it in butter or whatever spices. Add the sauce, then quickly cook the spinach until it begins to wilt. Finally turn off the heat and add any cheeses. Let it sit for a couple of minutes. That should melt the cheeses just right.
Lilymoon · F
@DeWayfarer yeah I cooked the spaghetti separate... then added it to butter and garlic then spinach and then sprinkled cheese on top. Was actually very good. 😋
Goodluckwiththat · 56-60, M
Oh yes! Spagetti is very versatile!
Lilyb · 22-25, F
Yes! A little bit of lemon if you have it!
Lilymoon · F
@Lilyb Yes! And I have garlic 🥳
being · 36-40, F

Jeephikelove · 51-55, F
