Soft drink.
If it’s Coke it can be located in the West wing.

Growing up in NE we called it tonic

I think the bluebloods looked at soda as a mere mixer

None of the above … it’s a “soft drink”.

Well, being from Pennsylvania we call it pop or soda now my cousin use to be a nurse in Connecticut and she calls it soda so I guess it varies?

Pop where I live. I hear soda once in a while but Coke is a brand name.
ShepherdBard · 31-35, M
I’ve heard all 3 where I live. I usually call it soda

Coke- but that also left out Dr Pepper!

I grew up with soda, but I relocated a long time ago. I now conform to the locals and say pop.

But in the back of my mind, "soda" is still the official term. So if I am referring to the stuff in an online post, I usually catch myself and use "soda".

As it is, I hardly ever drink it anymore.

I call it pop
@Lilnonames My youngest step sister's ex husband uses to deliver pepsi brand syrup tanks to restaurants all over north central iowa during the 80's, pop is the preferred phrase in this area, but his plant boss insisted that the drink industry calls it soda and would have a massive shit fit if him, his fellow drivers, or any plant employee called it pop. Coming from Oregon, I grew up calling it soda.

Upstate NYer here. Pop and soda at 50/50 clip.
I called it pop growing up
