Stale bread pancakes

Don't you just hate it when you have bread that you forgot about and it's now been a week and a half since you bought it hasn't gotten moldy but it's dry as the desert and hard. Well weep no more my friends here's an answer to what you have to do.

Take 7 to 8 slices tear them apart throw them into a bowl.

Then add one cup of milk, mash them up all into a liquid.

Then add pinch of salt, one egg, one teaspoon of baking powder, 2 tsp of sugar (4 if these are for children)

Mix it all together and pour it out on a heated griddle which you have previously oiled. 3 minutes each side on medium high heat. Enjoy!

I used to do that with dried out, stale donuts. I used to work at a homeless shelter, and donuts that were less than fresh were donated to the residents every day. Eventually the residents didn't even want a donut, so there were a lot of them being thrown away. At that point, staff were allowed to take them home.

I could convert cake donuts into pancake batter. They tasted just like donuts, but freshened up!

@4meAndyou well that's an interesting little thing how many donuts did it take to make a batch of batter?
4meAndyou · F
@Disgustedman About 6, as I recall. I always added more flour and eggs.
