What's the most expensive restaurant you have been to?

DaughteroftheMoon · 26-30, F
Definitely in Dubai.. I'm not sure if it was more expensive in Nusr-et or Pier, but I remember feeling bad,not after dinner, but after the bill😅

@DaughteroftheMoon

Wow, that IS beautiful. I will visit next summer.
DaughteroftheMoon · 26-30, F
@calicuz Wonderful.. You won't regret it 🤩🤩🤩
JustNik · 51-55, F
To my thinking, it was that place at the airport I got breakfast. In terms of what you pay for what you get, that was mindblowing. 😂
@JustNik Similar experience on my last flight

Mauricio's, a fancy-pants Italian place where the Ceasar salad was made at your table and costs $75.

Never again. I hate fancy restaurants.
7 Stars Inn recently in Phoenixville Pa. impossible to get out of there for under $500
Peapod · 61-69, F
@saragoodtimes I don't live too far from there but have never gone. That is a lot! We've been in New Hope where it can get pricey, but not even close to 7 stars.
@Peapod it's a drive from Reading but we enjoy it.. there are some really nice places here that we enjoy and have never been disappointed by the food or service

Red Lobster........................ yeah, I'm ghetto, I know.

@Muthafukajones

Me too!!!
Muthafukajones · 46-50, M
@calicuz they try to trick you into eating less all you can eat shrimp by having amazing biscuits and fettuccini Alfredo!!!! So sinister! 😏
calicuz · 51-55, M
@Muthafukajones

IKR, I have to stop myself from eating the biscuits.

It was at a hotel. It was a Masonic dinner (what we call the festive board) after the meeting in the lodge room. It was £80. It did include a three-course meal with champagne before dinner, a different wine with each course, as well as a glass of port, so it's not surprising really. It was a ridiculous amount of money to spend though and I had too much to drink. I did enjoy myself.

A steak and sushi house, where the tab (including tip) was over $1,000
for a party of 5 adults and 3 children.
Thinkerbell · 41-45, F
@Viper

No, 8 in all, of which 3 were children.

@4meAndyou

A couple of the adults in the steak and sushi place may have had more than one drink... 😂

Brennan's of Houston. My wife's boss took us for dinner. The wine cost more than I have ever paid for a full meal for two.
Cowboybob · M
Pujol in CMDX. $800 for two with wine pairings
Magnolia21 · 22-25, F
Somewhere at a disney park years ago. Even as a kid I saw those prices and went, "Why are they charging that much for a burger?!"
Not sure. Been to some nice places though where you can drop $200 a person easily. More if you like to drink.
MuddyWelliesLover96 · 26-30, F
The most expensive meal I had was about €40 in Verona but it was most tasty.
Peapod · 61-69, F
I don't recall specific restaurants, but dining in San Francisco was very expensive.
Lostpoet · M
The New Yorker, the waitress poured my beer into a chilled glass😩

For me it would have to be nathans

Although it closed in 2012, Locke Ober was a very expensive and exclusive restaurant in Boston. It could only be reached by going down an alley, and it was so old that you could actually have a small private room for your party.

In Seattle it was the space needle. It is a revolving restaurant at the top floor. Very high up, with an amaziing view. Yet, it was too rich for my blood
eyeno · M
One that served Nouvelle cuisine..., nice but left one hungry.

Give me a Taco anytime..,

AlchemyFox · 36-40, F
I don’t enjoy eating out. Especially if I have to dress up for a fancy meal.
There'll be several, there was a time where I'd be invited those fancy places. Lol
Delmonico's in NYC
@Stillwaiting unfortunately it's still closed. first the pandemic now a dispute with the owner of the building
@saragoodtimes It was our last outing in the city before 2 yrs with 2 in college that we've just exited .. have to find a new spot I suppose
