Actually most of it has to do with the cost of diesel here. Trucks transport all of it to our stores. When gas / diesel goes up, the drivers have to do the same to make ends meet, and they pass their costs to the store, who passes it onto the consumer.

@TallMtnMedic They always use that excuse but it should not jack up the price of goods THAT much.

@Punches Diesel has went from $3.642 to $5.362 for 125 to 300 gallons depending on the size of the truck per AAA. Also include $0.85 per mile for a gas surchange.

Meanwhile semi drivers can barely afford to drive as it is.

Keep in mind Wyoming and surrounding states are facing a diesel shortage and this us where a majority of our diesel is produced.

In November 2021, the Environmental Protection Agency announced new regulations governing methane emissions from oil and gas production, transmission, storage, and distribution that would cost more than $1 billion a year.

Last spring, Biden signed a resolution that overturned Trump administration reforms to EPA oil and gas rules. This resolution will worsen energy poverty, reestablish burdensome regulations, and have a disproportionate impact on small businesses.
