Am I right in thinking that Italian wines are better than those from France? e

Look,I admit that I am by no means a wine expert;however,I have done reading on the subject,and Ive come to a conclusion:Italian wines are generally superior to French wines.Am I right?

I prefer a good Barolo over a good Bordeaux any day if the week
Barbaresco over burgundy...although I do love Pinot noir burgundies
