That's dry beef, it's pretty good. I'm lactose intolerant but it's a cream based sauce that taste similar to gravy. Sort of like biscuits and gravy.

They used to serve it in the army. My mother used to buy chipped beef in little jars, and serve it on toast with white sauce for my father.
