I would of course dilute it first! But is it safe? I know some people say it can't be safe if it's more than 95% and this is 96% — but it says it's to make stuff like pastries and to make other types of alcoholic drinks, so it should be fine for human consumption? I'm confused lol.
@BlueGreenGrey Ah yeah that one in the link looks slightly different, but it says the same thing on the label yeah. I've already drank some, and I'm not dead or blind yet. =D
Thank you for taking so much time to help me out lol, that's really cool of you. And it's pretty interesting learning about alcohol!
@th3r0n @BlueGreenGrey gave me a really good explanation, I'm just not sure how to find out whether this stuff I have is really designed for drinking as is (by as is, I mean diluted but nothing else done to it).
@dale74 I think that’s an American system, if I’m not mistaken? This is bought in Italy and is 96% percent alcohol (or close to 96%). You probably know about something called Everclear, it appears to be like that.
@sasanack Wow chill dude... I drank it, it was fine. I was pretty sure it would be, as I’d already asked my husband’s mother who it belonged to, I was just double-checking and some guy here actually happened to know a lot about alcohol lol. Why are you swearing at me?
@sasanack The Russian Roulette analogy dies with the fact that I pretty much knew it was safe when I drank it. There's absolutely nothing rude about asking questions on the internet, you've got to have your head screwed on the wrong way to think so. I was perfectly polite in my question and to everyone who replied.
