Can I drink this alcohol?

I would of course dilute it first! But is it safe? I know some people say it can't be safe if it's more than 95% and this is 96% — but it says it's to make stuff like pastries and to make other types of alcoholic drinks, so it should be fine for human consumption? I'm confused lol.

You can make mixers with that, pour light and you can make alcoholic drinks that don’t taste like anything but what you poured the alcohol into

@th3r0n When you say make mixers, you just mean dilute it with a soda or something like that? I don't need to do anything special? Also I was kind of expecting it to taste like vodka or something haha.

@Entheesa no, at 96% all you will taste is burn

You can literally add that to things like chocolate milk that vodka would ruin and it won’t affect the flavor, just become like a chocolate milk licour

I’ve literally done that with everclear, I’m serious, basically don’t think of diluting it as if it were a drink, think of it being an additive and you just add a little to get a strong drink or a tiny bit to get a lighter mixed drink

For chocolate milk, add 9 parts chocolate milk and one part that 96% stuff, and you will have 9.6% which is stronger than most beer but you wouldn’t even know if you weren’t the one to add it

@th3r0n That's cool lol! You mention Everclear which I know is safe to consume, so you think this is like that? I'm afraid it's rubbing alcohol, or something else bad, but I really don't think so...

@Entheesa rubbing alcohol is isopropylene, drinking alcohol is ethylene

You can’t drink any amount or consume any amount of isopropylene safely

@th3r0n @BlueGreenGrey gave me a really good explanation, I'm just not sure how to find out whether this stuff I have is really designed for drinking as is (by as is, I mean diluted but nothing else done to it).

@Entheesa they don’t label things that can’t be drunken in that manner, they would get sued so badly

@th3r0n That makes sense, given I'm about to drink it now. 🤣 Thanks for the help lol!
