I wake up and feel hungover when i didn't even drink

I haven't drank in like a week and I wake up with hangover feelings for the first 10 minutes or so. I think it's because I drank so much for so long maybe there's residual alcohol in my membranes and tissues and or I've just been psychologically conditioned at this other to feel a certain way coming out of unconsciousness in the morning.

It means you are likely dehydrated.

And you may be missing electrolytes.

@JoeyFoxx how do I get electrolytes
JoeyFoxx · 51-55, M
@Amanda422 sports drinks.

You could add a half teaspoon of salt and a half teaspoon of sugar to water also.

Oranges (not orange juice)

Bananas

You need to start drinking plenty of water. At least six to eight glasses a day.
Also, drink coconut water for electrolytes.

Look up BPPV. It is vertigo caused by some crystals in your inner ear. There are good resources online to figure out whether you have it and how to move your head in the right ways to move the crystals along.

That happens when you wake up during a rem cycle. Do you often remember your dreams?
SupportVectorMachine · 36-40, M
@Amanda422 That's common. What is likely happening (and I'm not sleep expert just love data) is you are waking during rem. Try adjusting when you sleep or wake by 15mins or so.

@SupportVectorMachine well I go to bed at 10pm and wake up at 5am. I'm kind of on a tight schedule, but I'll try maybe going to bed a bit earlier

@Amanda422 also. No blue light devices an hour before bed. That's tvs laptops phone basically anything with a screen. Also. As someone said before. Drink a lot of water before bed

Ive been trying to cut back on drinking and im getting the same feeling. I think you're right about lingering traces

I doubt alcohol will affect you for that long. Alcohol usually is out of your system within 24 hours. You could be dehydrated or lacking in sleep. Those can cause symptoms similar to hangovers.
