I have always been interested in it but its hard to get round here and I don't know what kind of meals you'd use it in...

You roll the sliced okra in yellow corn meal and fry it. Absolutely delicious! You wouldn't think something so fuzzy and slimy would be as good as it is, but fried okra is manna from heaven.
