Have you got nice food items for Christmas and already eaten them?

I have eaten the cashew nuts and now I want to open the shortbread

Nope. I did receive a gift of an entire turkey, already cooked, with all the fixins after Thanksgiving, and I still have one last meal and a bit of turkey stew left. But I don't have any other special or nice food items. I look at lots of photos of them...🤣

@Stereoguy My motto used to be that Christmas is a time for wonderful surprises! I still go overboard, but in the past I used to really spoil my son.

Lol, I re-gift those items. I received an elaborate food basket with Wine, Cheese, Crackers and bunch of other cookie items etc.., I gave the basket to a family member who entertains a lot and they most likely will put it out as a spread for guests.

@Iwillwait that's very kind

@Rhonda Thank you, they really liked it too. It was huge, like over the top. I enjoyed giving to someone who'd appreciate it.

Thank you for your kind words.

Lol I have a variety of cheeses and chocolate me .... and have not opened any yet
No. I have ordered some really fine French Toast bread loaves. The local bakery is wonderful. I am making a traditional Mexican supper for my son and his gf. I prefer to share these things with those I love rather than enjoy them by myself. I am so in the Christmas spirit. Still decorating though. You will have to buy more now!

@PoetryNEmotion well to be honest, it's my partner and me tucking in. So it's best to only bring the luxuries home last minute, subject of course to availability.
@Rhonda In these times, it seems best to get early as people are hoarding. Where is your willpower? Santa is watching!

I just finished the 360g of dairy milk that I was supposed to be eating steadily.
But I've eaten it in a week 😳
Rhonda · F
@Peppa glad I'm not the only one

Not yet, I believe we are shopping for the food on Monday week when I am on holidays from work
Rhonda · F
@nedkelly well it's not long to Christmas now, so your shopping may make it to the table.

@Rhonda oh yes I drink lemon and lime water but have to be careful as it can irritate my bladder. I need to be careful with acids. I drank lime juice & water for months before losing quite a bit of weight 3 years ago in the winter. I was also eating a lot of resistance starches which help metabolism and cooking spinach with turmeric...I really think the turmeric helped. Fermented turmeric is supposed to help even more. I can tell when my thyroid is kicking into gear. I can’t get enough water at night and my body temperature increases while I sleep, and I feel a type of vibration in my thyroid and upper body area...it’s hard to explain but that’s how I know my metabolism has increased. When it does that the weight just drops off so easy.
