Keto diet, any opinion or advice?

On one hand low carbs is the way to lose weight, but on the other too low - ie ketosis for prolonged periods can interfere with your thyroid in that it inhibits the conversion of T4 to T3 hormone and thyroid problems can present a whole range of weird symptoms. I dropped my daily carb intake down to about 100g maybe 80g. I personally wouldn't go below 50g for the reason i mentioned but others may have a differing view on this.

@Disturbed12 I lost all the weight i needed from 80g - 100g per day. I also had advice from my local gym's fitness trainer. Professional advice is definitely the way to go with something like this.

Been following it for 8 months now I think. I like it. I also intermittent fast along with it. If you want some great advice on it look up Dr Eric Berg on YouTube.

Also, keto is high fat (healthy fats, medium protein and low carbs. But green leafy veggies you can do all day long).

It's a good option for many people, but most advocates of it spread a lot of misinformation. Check out ketogains, they follow research the best out of any of them.
