when you here them in the distance a flock of them its the most amazing sound it can only make you smile and think what are they laughing at very Australian. @eyeno
@Really being I'm not a well traveled man, do you identify yourself as Scottish or Irish. For me its so confusing but I guess its like being born and raised in Hawaii myself, yet I consider myself Hawaiian though of Asian descent.
@eyeno I'm Scots born & raised, now Canadian. Really annoyed that 'Celtic' is now almost universally assumed to mean Irish.
I'm also atheist (if anything) but I love the song "Lord of the Dance" I think of 'The Dance' with its resurrection theme as symbolic of the persistence of humanity, always seeking to find joy in life no matter what.
Were you born in Hawaii or immigrated there? I've always lived on a raincoast so I guess we have that in common :).
@Really I was born and raised in Hawaii on the island of Oahu. Lived on the island of Kauai for 21 years and the island of Hawaii aka: bigisland for 21 yrs. till present.
Oh so you live in Canada now..., many SW'ers are from there.
@Really thank-you very much for your comment. So much thoughts go through my mind as I discover where people are from and at least gives me a glimpse of their heritage.
@bijouxbroussard as generations go on, we lose a lot of the old ways. To bad my mom didnt teach me when I wanted to learn Japanese in my grade school age. Tried taking classes through the years but just couldn't grasp the language, just to much going on during my young adult life and couldn't focus.
@bijouxbroussard yes..... my family even back to my grandmothers days wouldn't talk of life before arriving in the U.S. , though I've asked nothing was said. Maybe life was that bad back then for them.
