Would it be a problem carrying a protein powder container in my suitcase while crossing the border?

Oh and the container has been opened. It's been used, not sealed.
Dlrannie · 31-35, F
Just declare it and you should be ok unless some of its ingredients are banned in the country you are entering 🙂
Dan193 · 31-35, M
@Dlrannie and if the ingredients are banned, they will just take it away, right? No fine
Dlrannie · 31-35, F
@Dan193 That will depend on the country you are trying to enter- different countries have different criteria.
MissTaken · 36-40, F
If you need protein powder I would suggest you buy it in the country you are visiting to avoid any possible problems.
lets see a powder in a open container going across the border.. really and ya have to ask these people .. throw it away.. gheesh ..or do the other choice and maybe just maybe you will go to jail till it is tested and that might take a week or month.. so ya go ahead and carry a open container of powder.. let us know how it goes .. i could use a laugh.. mark
Dan193 · 31-35, M
@markansas no, seriously, do u have any reliable info on that, or just guessing too?
@Dan193 please go for it.. what do i know
Dan193 · 31-35, M
@markansas why do u want me to get in trouble, if you feel that strong about it
Havesomefun2 · 56-60, M
Just declare it
SW-User
@Dan193 If it's for personal use (and clearly, it is) there shouldn't be any extra cost
Havesomefun2 · 56-60, M
@Dan193 don’t think so
Dan193 · 31-35, M
@SW-User @Havesomefun2 ok, thanks
Yulianna · 26-30, F
which border?
Yulianna · 26-30, F
@Dan193 UK/EU?
Dan193 · 31-35, M
@Yulianna you're exposing me 😷
Yulianna · 26-30, F
@Dan193 😳 i do no such thing... you just keep yourself covered up!
Really · 80-89, M
If you get the wrong person at the border, maybe one who just doesn't like your face, they have the power to make your life miserable at the slightest excuse - or 'just because'.
Dan193 · 31-35, M
@Really thanks really
Thevy29 · 41-45, M
Why didn't you put them in condoms and swallowing them like any other innocent protein enthusiast?

Or shove them up your keister like the hardcore protein enthusiasts?
Dan193 · 31-35, M
@Thevy29 not story worth
Barny52 · 56-60, M
smiler2012 · 56-60
😝 could it be mistaken for some other illegal substance . you do not want pulling up when they think you are a drugs courier [dan193]
Dan193 · 31-35, M
@smiler2012 haha what a story to tell tho 😂
You might want to be mindful of what you carry and the border(s) you cross. Ask the WNBA star currently being held in Russia.
ArishMell · 70-79, M
Won't that depend on which country you are entering from which, and whether the powder is clearly innocent?
It went alright for me. It was creatine powder.
Dan193 · 31-35, M
@PiecingBabyFaceTogether was it open? Did you declare it? Did they search your bag?
@Dan193 One was open yes. Nobody bothered to look inside it. We also had other medications which were declared yes. We included the powder in the declaration.
Penny · 46-50, F
why would it be a problem?
Dan193 · 31-35, M
@Penny Idk. Whyyy?
Penny · 46-50, F
@Dan193 google what foods you can bring through customs to whichever country your going to?
Dan193 · 31-35, M
@Penny ok, I'll do that
I wouldn't bother
Fluffybull · F
@Stillwaiting Me neither. At the very least it would mean suspicion and delays. It's not as if protein powder is a necessity.
@Fluffybull Can understand if committed to a nutrition plan .. but would think better to buy a suitable alternate in country
Crazywaterspring · 61-69, M
They'll sic the dogs on you if you have a Muslim name.
Fluffybull · F
I wouldn't risk it personally.
pancakeslam · 41-45, M
they thought my ibuprofen was crack cocaine so probably
Dan193 · 31-35, M
@pancakeslam haha imagine
