How much tax return do you receive?

My tax situation is very simple - no investments or investment property. Only 1 job. Basic claims for rebates and deductions. I'm just happy if I get a refund. The amount is not important.
PS. I've never had a five-figure tax refund! Do get four figure some years but first digit is always a '1' if I do.

@Missbirdie1986 i am from the united kingdom and retired last december i got a nice surprise from the inland revenue a few weeks back saying i had paid too much income tax for the year twenty three /twenty four so i got over a six hundred quid rebate lol better in my arse pocket lol

The money we receive in return is actually our money.
There are many who receive a return even if they did not contribute.

In recent years I got no tax refund. This year or perhaps it was last year I got 300 pounds.
