What would you do if you see $14000 in your bank account as a gift?

I'd try to find out if the money transfer was legal, and was not the result of an error; if everything looks ok then I'd donate the whole sum to charity. It's not my money.
Jeffrey53 · 51-55, M
Withdrawal it then cancel my bank account
Donotfolowme · 51-55, F
@Jeffrey53 what will you do with the money?
Jeffrey53 · 51-55, M
@Donotfolowme find a place to live
SweetMae · 70-79, F

Id be grateful and want to thank who ever gifted me it
Thevy29 · 41-45, M
I'd do the same thing that guy who found 18 million dollars in his bank account did. Close the account and bolt.

It was a story on the news a few years ago. Bank error. The news never followed up on whether the bank got its money back.
Be smart and save it.
Not tell anybody amd go window shopping for a new car 😉
Wonder how, who and why did they give me this money, and wonder what price I'll have to pay...I know It'll cost me much more than money.
OldBrit · 61-69, M
Put it somewhere safe.
In case it is wanted back.
If eventually not reclaimed probably split it between my family in some way.
ruiwu · 36-40, M
TOSAL is the most useful broker I've ever used, and it's worth trusting in all aspects.I think I will always be on this platform.
Ingwe · F
pay it forward
give it away
I don't like getting money for nothing
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
Going on a vaccation... save the rest.
Probably buy some dope too... for the vacation... you know. 🐣
carpediem · 61-69, M
Give it to my kids. They could use it more than me
SensualRomantic · 46-50, M
I would wish for more.
DragonFruit · 70-79, M
Try to find out who made the gift, as the only people who have made gifts to us in the past are now deceased.
I wouldn't want to accept money that should have gone into someone else's account.
Mindful · 56-60, F
That someone wealthy was gifting me the maximum amount allowed by the tax law thereby allowing me/ family avoid death taxation and income taxation
Crusher69 · 61-69, M
A gift is a gift - but sometimes some people hold gifts over you. If so - then send it back. If not and it is genuine then enjoy it
Oster1 · M
It is the giver, of such gift, that is responsible, for taxation, on said gift.

If I had done something to deserve it for the person that I got it.
I would thank the person straight away
eMortal · M
Thank the person and invest the money.

Throw a SW party of course 🥳
Ferric67 · M
immediately pack my things and move away
I’d still need to know where it came from, gift or otherwise.
acupaday · 46-50, F

Then get my tired arse to Orange Beach for a solid week of blissful nothingness.
Oster1 · M
@acupaday OMW, I hope you do!!!! No one, deserves it more, beautiful!!!
acupaday · 46-50, F
@Oster1 🙏🏻. My turn in line is coming. Just practicing patience and soaking up the moments leading to it.
pancakeslam · 46-50, M
put it in a Swiss bank account
pancakeslam · 46-50, M
@helenS as my new financial advisor what do you recommend?
helenS · 36-40, F
@pancakeslam Donate that unearned money to charity – it will make you feel like this ==> 😇
pancakeslam · 46-50, M
@helenS I'd rather just blow it all at the casino but that works too
DDonde · 31-35, M
Try to figure out where the hell it came from and not touch it. Don’t want to be on the hook suddenly for 14000 due to an error.
Donotfolowme · 51-55, F
@DDonde thats why i mentioned "gift"
DDonde · 31-35, M
@Donotfolowme could still be an error or a scam or something. I dunno I am very wary
