What would you do if you see $14000 in your bank account as a gift?

I'd try to find out if the money transfer was legal, and was not the result of an error; if everything looks ok then I'd donate the whole sum to charity. It's not my money.

Withdrawal it then cancel my bank account

Pay off my car and go on vacation.

I'd do the same thing that guy who found 18 million dollars in his bank account did. Close the account and bolt.

It was a story on the news a few years ago. Bank error. The news never followed up on whether the bank got its money back.

Wonder how, who and why did they give me this money, and wonder what price I'll have to pay...I know It'll cost me much more than money.

In case it is wanted back.
If eventually not reclaimed probably split it between my family in some way.

Try to find out who made the gift, as the only people who have made gifts to us in the past are now deceased.
I wouldn't want to accept money that should have gone into someone else's account.

That someone wealthy was gifting me the maximum amount allowed by the tax law thereby allowing me/ family avoid death taxation and income taxation

A gift is a gift - but sometimes some people hold gifts over you. If so - then send it back. If not and it is genuine then enjoy it

It is the giver, of such gift, that is responsible, for taxation, on said gift.
