No, no. I come in peace. ✌
When I clock in, it's like the bell for the beginning of the fight.

He will win who knows when to fight and when not to fight.

are we not all at that tipping point

UndeadSona · F
Only once, but that's because that guy was handsy 😒
bhatjc · 46-50, M
@UndeadSona Did you report it to HR
Umile · 41-45, F
@bhatjc I have a basic rule. As long as they're not handsy. As long as they don't go too far. Most customers know they can get away with stuff. Just for a discount. Smh.

@Umile Good business trade

It was at my first ever job where I saw the most one sided pummeling ever. One of our crew was far and away the biggest badass in the school. This guy was big, muscular, tighly coiled, rage filled and insane. The only guy in my class I'd genuinely fear if he was after me.

A foolish guy tried to make his bones by starting a fight with him 😵‍💫

The stories of this guy getting in huge brawls every 3 or 4 months (including biting part of a cop's ear off) were legendary.

He was killed less than a year after graduation
SSDecontrol · 56-60, M
@Umile

Yes, he had zero self control. Scariest thing about him.

I found a recent picture of his neighbor and closest minion during their troublemaking. He looks like he's mellowed out gracefully after 40 years!

Umile · 41-45, F
@SSDecontrol birds of a feather flock together.
Nitedoc · 51-55, M
@SSDecontrol Yeah, he looks okay!

It happens.
Often because of information received by one and not shared.
As a result, another puts in a lot of legwork all for nothing.

I don't mind working hard, but not when someone else knows it was pointless.
Umile · 41-45, F
@Picklebobble2 True. That is very common in the workplace.

I always try to give the heads up, to avoid unnecessary mistake.

Other's woud rather see a colleague fail.

Smh.

I don't understand this need for advancement. This sense of competition.

We get paid to do the same thing, we're one team.

We need to help each other.

Maybe I'm in the wrong team.

😢
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
@Umile....and then you get Managers questioning why (in their view) you're a reluctant team player 😡

Just yesterday actually
Umile · 41-45, F
@Keeper Really. How did it go down ?
Keeper · M
@Umile Just had enough of the passive aggressiveness from an executive.

Nah, I'm usually too busy to put up with their BS.
Umile · 41-45, F
@Thevy29 I should try that trick. Just not be in the same room or keep busy. Ooooosaaah. Satan got a hold on me today.
Nitedoc · 51-55, M
No, but when I was on parental leave, my boss was suspected of doing just that. I couldn't get fired from that job soon enough
Umile · 41-45, F
@ImperialAerosolKidFromEP What you mean ? Who wanted to fight who ?
@Umile we don't really know what happened, but an attractive explanation of the facts is my boss got angry at the supposed victim, assaulted him, the supposed victim was paid off and sent on his way and my boss was sent to anger management
Umile · 41-45, F
There was one guy I was a supervisor for back in early 2000 at a truck stop east of Reno, the guy was in his 60's, so pre boomer, and lazier than a basset hound, always calling me nasty names, and somehow had immunity from termination of employment.

@ToddpicogramakaSatan I was thinking more like knock-outs. Perhaps I should've used Muhammad Ali. But, that's not the type of punch I was craving for at the time.
