So The Lord of the Rings trilogy is apparently set to return in late 2027.

I'll give it a chance. Hopefully it'll be better than The Hobbit trilogy.

@Baybreeze There is actually a Lord of the Rings fan film made in 2009 with the same title as the upcoming film, that is based off of the Lord of the Rings book. But I can't find anything about a book titled "The Hunt for Gollum".
