Yesterday I had a 12-y-o girl here for the morning while her mother went to work. It gave me the opportunity to chat with her about her school and its rules.
The girls may choose between uniform skirt or uniform trousers.
If a girl rolls over the waistband of her skirt to make it shorter, she risks a de-merit. A repeat de-merit earns a detention. There is a continuing scale, the sixth de-merit resulting in a parental discussion about behaviour.
My young visitor opts for trousers !
