How many ways can you tie a neck tie?

Three: Windsor, Half-Windsor, Four-in-Hand

@exexec impressed, I only know two ways.

One way I don't know the name of it. Been doing that one since I was a kid and I know this fancy knot called the Eldredge Knot.

That knot was hard for me to memorize and learn

@HumanEarth I learned four-in-hand as a kid and the others in college. Different ties look better with certain knots, and I'm picky about how my ties look. Now that I've retired, I don't wear a tie that often.

I wear a tie for almost every holiday, certain business meetings, and church. So not everyday, but often

I think ties have kind of gone out of style these days.

I work as an engineer at a Fortune 500 company. I still see the execs wearing them sometimes but it seems the new look for customer facing roles is jacket with no tie.

Of course as an engineer we will never be wearing ties.

I remember growing up my dad always wore one to work as a programmer. Today I am pretty sure that would be weird though.
I only know how to tie the Windsor and Half-Windsor. Some creative knots in the photos.
@Degbeme Yea this. I feel like an overly fancy tie knot is the equivalent of when people put green headlights on their car. It is just tacky.
@Degbeme Its like style should be subtle.

I learned to tie the double windsor when I was a kid in the armed forces. I got paid in college to tie other guys' ties.

As that guy on laugh-in used to say.

Very Interesting

Only 2, the Windsor and what I call the "Lazy Windsor" from the 80s. 🙄

I do like the one in the 3rd pic, very cool. 😎

@HumanEarth I always told my fam I feel like a drag queen whenever I wore a dress. They never took the hint 🤦‍♂️
HumanEarth · F
Dito, my mother used to yell and hit me when I used to play dress-up with my sisters clothes.

My dad thought he could beat it out of me.

Don't get me wrong I like men's clothing, but I like womens just as much. I always wanted to mix girls and boys clothes together.

Now as a adult and I have a wife that don't care what I wear. I been mixing genders of clothing for years.

Did you ever read my profile?

The normal way we call it the Mormon knot.

It looks like the first image.
