Worse things they can do?

Mathers · 61-69
I have a friend who is so sensitive to the Sun with her skin she has to wear long sleeves. The problem is people want to just judge other people for doing harmless things which affect no one else. For goodness sake mate mind your own business
NovaNine · 56-60, M
@Mathers I was just curious that's all. Not judging just wondering.
Notanymore · 36-40, M
I actually work outside or fish or anything in a long sleeve cotton shirt. It holds sweat and evaporates slower, wich causes evaporative cooling. Also keeping the sun away is a good thing.
exexec · 61-69, C
As we age, we become more susceptible to feeling cold. That's one reason. Some men do it to cover "age spots" on their arms.
NovaNine · 56-60, M
@exexec That also explains why they tend to crank the heat way up
TexChik · F
A history with skin cancer . That’s what I wear fishing with a cowboy hat and sunglasses and suns screen
NovaNine · 56-60, M
@TexChik Makes sense
JustEd · 41-45, M
May just be what’s on the top of the drawer.
NovaNine · 56-60, M
@JustEd Maybe, I'm guilty of living out of the laundry basket

@OldMan70 of arabs in the desert do not have short sleeved shirts; they cover their whole body against the effects of the sun. White to reflect the sun and light so moisture is not wasted by sweating
@Royrogers They key part of that attire, is all dressed in white to reflect the sun away.

Maybe their old skin is sensitive to the sun, and older people can feel cold even if it feels warm to you. Also, older women may not feel too good about showing off their old wrinkled skin. I know I don’t, so maybe men can feel that as well.
NovaNine · 56-60, M
@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout Hey now hey now I feel called out.
Fluffybull · F
Some people have a medical condition where they feel cold all the time. I know someone who has to wear a winter coat on warm summer days 😥
NovaNine · 56-60, M
@Fluffybull That sounds rough
I always look for forward to the warm weather...shorts, t-shirts/polo, flip flops
NovaNine · 56-60, M
@BizSuitStacy I like feeling the sun
@NovaNine Absolutely. Get your vitamin D.
DoubleRings · 51-55, F
That’s less of a conundrum for me than the teenage who wears summer shorts and bunny slippers on a winter day.
NovaNine · 56-60, M
@DoubleRings Also hoodies and shorts
Jeephikelove · 46-50, F
You said it “old” their circulation isn’t as good anymore and they’re often cold.
sally1981 · 41-45, F
I live in London and my Husband wears long sleeved shirts and in Winter he wears Long Drawers.
Royrogers · 61-69, M
@sally1981 you are funny

Why do you need to “get it”? Some people have different tastes from yours, that’s all. I can’t abide men who wear shorts.
Royrogers · 61-69, M
@MartinII and socks
ArishMell · 70-79, M
Now give us a convincing reason why we older (i.e. >50yo) men must not wear long-sleeved shirts tidily tucked into long trousers.
SW-User
They look even worse in shorts and t-shirt.
NovaNine · 56-60, M
@SW-User Still tucked in with the belt. Kneesocks and sandals or white sneakers.
@SW-User That'll be you one day 🤣
NovaNine · 56-60, M
@MsSwan over my dead body
Jlhzfromep · M
Dress code for work possibly
NovaNine · 56-60, M
@Jlhzfromep office wear
Jlhzfromep · M
@NovaNine typical business casual dress
Royrogers · 61-69, M
I don’t like it when men take their shirt off in warm weather
Rhode57 · 56-60, M
Me neither .
