Men, do you know how to tie a tie? 😏

For some reason as a teenager I had a horror of what we call bow-ties over here.I must have seen them as snobbish or effeminate or something. When my Belfast piano teacher organised an anniversary concert I refused to take part unless it was tieless. My teacher held out to the bitter end and even appealed to my father to intervene but in the end had to give way. No bow-tie or I wasn't appearing.

Yes thank you to my next door neighbor who would help me in the 7th grade. I sang in choir at school and we had a tie that we had to wear with our sport coat and trousers. Because my dad couldnt get home early from work i qould go next door to my adoptive granparent and he would tie my tie then make me undo it and tie it again as he took a sip of his whiskey. Of i tied it right I would get a can of squirt lol
