I don’t really know when I first knew. I think for a long time I said I believed in Santa and wanted to believe in Santa when I really knew he wasn’t real. My parents told me if I didn’t believe in Santa that Santa wouldn’t come.

When my uncle dressed up like Santa one Xmas, drunk as hell and on acid. Ended up climbing on the roof and started telling everyone that he was the pope in disguise and that he could fly. Gave up on Santa after that.

There wasn't any soet eventful revelation that I would remember, probably because the whole business was never really presented to me as anything more than a tradition intended to make Christmas more fun.

I don't think I ever really believed in him. Probably bc I always found him creepy, and the "stranger" coming into my home dressed as him (when I was a kid) didn't exactly help.

i suspected that as a kid and hid in the closet to catch Santa (My Dad) in the act but i fell asleep in the closet witing for Santa to drink the milk and eat the cookies waiting for him

I never did buy that "comin down the chimney" nonsense...We lived in a trailer.

I was about 8…my 15 year old cousin told me. Mom told me that when children stopped believing in Santa Claus, he stopped coming. I got the hint.
