We didn't have the pleasure of him, in Australia, but from what I have seen and heard he was a wonderful man.
I particularly liked his subtlety, for example, the character of Officer Clemmons, the policeman character for over 20 years, and particularly cooling their feet in a pool when there were debates about blacks and whites in the same pool.
