Found out what test my boy "failed'

So we get to the school for the meeting and it's with his homeroom teacher and the nurse.

So I asked them what was going on. First off they apologized for the email. It should of had more information about the meeting but a sub teacher sent it out.

So them the nurse goes on to tell me they school does a annual hearing and eye test. She strongly recommend we get his eyes tested soon but the biggest concern was his hearing. She said her test shows he could have minor to major hearing loss in his left ear. She said she would get him into a specialist right away.
His eyes didn't surprise me, I wear glasses so does his mother. But the hearing I was shocked and asked how could I possibly miss this.

She went on to say it's common to not notice these when it effects only one ear. She gave me some things to look out for and the number of a doctor they recommend.

Oh wow yeah not what I was to be told. Not really sure what to think but looking over the list I can see some of the things she listed.

So I got him going to get him an appointment as soon as possible for both his eyes and ears.

That's good. I was in second grade before they realized I couldn't see the writing on the blackboard. Glasses opened a whole new world for me.

@exexec yeah and it is part of his plan for him to sit in the front row in his classes so the teachers can keep a better eye on him and he can focus better that way. So that's probably why the eyes didn't get noticed quicker
