@RockerDad i foster adopted my son as a single dad , and every parenting decision I made was scrutinized and criticized by the social worker. Every month, I would get a copy of her report, which was page after page of what a bad parent I was. Never anything positive. It sort of paralyzed me every time I had to make a decision about anything. Parenting is messy sometimes,, and it is never the way it is on TV, where everything is solved at the end of the episode. Also, being a single dad, everyone around me felt like they had the right to weigh in on how I should parent my child. Even though it was well-meaning, it really bothered me. At the end of the day, I’m sure you make ten right decisions for every wrong one. You’re a good dad, because you care about being good dad. Don’t let other people’s bullshit get into your head.

@RockerDad wow I'm sorry that happened to you. People can be cruel and just say what ever in on their mind. I think social media was taken everyone's care away.

@Summer2025 there isn’t a parent here doesnt beat themselves up for how they handled some situation. We aren’t perfect, all we can do is try our best
