@ChipmunkErnie some parents are like that but others like that homeschooling allows their kids to work at their own pace and keeps their kids from bad influences. My oldest 2 will begin homeschooling in jan they are in a private school ran by our church now

The only parents I've know who home-schooled did so to keep their children ignorant of other peoples religions, traditions, and race/ethnicity. Basically, fear of their kids learning to think for themselves and not toe the family-approved line.
