custody advice

Do u need still follow the custody order if there was an incident where the custodial parent got arrested and now i feel unsafe for the child to go back to them.. My daughters dad turned himself in for some report his ex did. Then left my daughter at his apartment with the same crazy ex that he has an order of protection against.Yesterday was the last straw i got call that no one knew where my child was... so i went crazy.. my kids grandmother came up with the idea she may be in his apartment by herself ... she picked uptand im upset he didnt contact anyobe about this .. i involved acs but i dont return her to him .
