To fertile women

Would you have a baby for someone else and raise that child with generous financial support from the father who doesn’t want daily responsibilities but does want a child?
AbbySvenz · F
You don’t get a child without the daily responsibilities 😒
StevetheSleeve · 31-35, M
@AbbySvenz I’m putting you down as a no.

Yes

I'm happy to do all the daily responsibilities...that's what being a mother is about 👶🏻 :3
Beautywithin · 36-40, F
No, so basically a dead beat dad, who wants off spring but dont want an active role in a child's life. Oh yes the ladies will be flocking. 🙄
StevetheSleeve · 31-35, M
@Beautywithin Not deadbeat, financially supportive and part of the child’s life. Still probably not a lot of flocking but yeah.
RebelHeart · 36-40, F
I think theres definitely women that would agree to this. Women who would love a child but haven't met the right guy yet and is worried they're running out of time. Would be complicated though, especially later down the road when one partner met someone new and then it was like happy families and the orher partner felt left out
StevetheSleeve · 31-35, M
@RebelHeart That makes sense.
RebelHeart · 36-40, F
@StevetheSleeve I've heard stories about friends whove agreed to have a child together because they both wanted one but hadn't found the right person. And women choose to have and raise children completely by themself now ( with a doner obviously... not immaculate conception) so i dont see why some women couldn't want a similar situation but with extra financial support and a partial father figure 🤷🏼‍♀️

@Harriet03 You binned the hubby? 😲
BarbossasHusband · 36-40, M
No. Reality is, he could end up with full custody anyway after a fatal incident. Also, a kid is not a toy you can play with only when you feel like it.
StevetheSleeve · 31-35, M
@BarbossasHusband Truth here.
Two points.

First, I'm pretty sure there are women out there who would definitely take this deal in a New York minute ... and ... they aren't really the women you want raising your child.

Second, look at it from the child's point of view at say, at age 18 when he/she learns the truth. "You mean I could have had a dad? I could have been part of a whole family?? But you didn't love me enough to be my dad???" Pretty much a guarantee of an F'ed up relationship with your child once they learn the truth.
StevetheSleeve · 31-35, M
@ElwoodBlues Good points.
PassingThrough · 46-50, M
I know I’m not a woman but this idea is pretty shitty. Just saying…
Jenny1234 · 51-55, F
I would have definitely considered it when I was young on the condition of having a live-in nanny, full time maid and personal chef and live in an excellent neighbourhood

only if I was crazy in love with that man and he would be part of my life and the kids life. Maybe. 🤔🤔🤔
Valerian · 100+, M
That's NOT Wanting a Child in the slightest!

That's pure 100% Ego and Vanity at work.
It's only Proving your Fertility, making a Heir to carry on Genetics and maybe You finally getting to have Sex a few times until conception and then you Run Away sending Monthly “Daddy Checks"!

Total Shit!

@Valerian Lol. Ok, but I was just throwing out a scenario, not posting a job ad.
Valerian · 100+, M
@StevetheSleeve it's you're thought Process
Just thinking that way... 97% of the women you mentioned that to would be quickly gone, 3% would ask for money up front
rrraksamam · 31-35, M
A child needs a father. It's the little things that count.
Would said father ever be in the child's life, have visits? There was a time I would have had a baby for somebody else so they could have a baby. And I've considered raising somebody else's child before even without financial support. However, I wonder why he would want a child if he didn't plan on raising it.
StevetheSleeve · 31-35, M
@midnightrose Let’s assume the hypothetical father would want to be a part of the child’s life, through an arrangement agreed to beforehand.
RebelFox · 36-40, F
I do that now. It fucking sucks.
Medoesnotcare · 22-25, F
Yes I’d prefer it that way actually
Jinxie · 51-55, F
For someone else? No.
RadioDust · 36-40, M
If I was a woman. Fuck no. They want a child, do the full work not make it a business transaction
SW-User
I don’t think so, no.

@StevetheSleeve I baralh read what you posted I jusg woke up and havh only one eye open , but seems like it’s a post about you wanting a baby
StevetheSleeve · 31-35, M
@SW-User I didn’t say me, just a hypothetical.
SW-User
@StevetheSleeve Ooh now I see it , it’s a bit weird but I can see someone who’s financially struggling saying yes to that , I know some girls irl who would probably say yes
SW-User
I don't really get the question.
StevetheSleeve · 31-35, M
@SW-User Would you be willing to have and raise a baby for some guy who would pay you support generously each month? He would still see the child and be part of his/her life.
SW-User
"Some guy"? Of course not. @StevetheSleeve
Not everything can be bought, user.
StevetheSleeve · 31-35, M
@sspec Not everyone.
caccoon · 36-40
And give up my own life? Fuck no.
StevetheSleeve · 31-35, M
@SW-User The guy and woman would need to reach agreement beforehand on the extent of his part in the child’s life. Why not be part of a family? That would be something he didn’t want for whatever reason. Like cocoon says, it’s dodging the hardest parts.
SW-User
@StevetheSleeve some fathers seem to be in the same house of the kid but it's as if they weren't there even being (part of the family)
StevetheSleeve · 31-35, M
@SW-User Yeah, that’s a sad situation. And other fathers just try to get out of all responsibilities. At least in this case the father would value and support the child.
I wouldn’t have under those circumstances, but I know a few women who might’ve considered it.
