I don’t know what happened but at times, I feel like we all have these thoughts where we’re doubting ourselves on if we’re doing a good job. You will literally get criticized for every little thing, so don’t hold it against you if you messed up (assuming it’s a minor issue)

No grading until they are well into their adult lives. When you start getting the feedback on what they remember and you will be surprised how much of what stuck with them is stuff you barely remember, stuff you did vs. stuff you said, stuff totally unrelated to the lessons you tried to provide. It is imperfect at best, and what you agonize over today is probably already forgotten by them. Too often both parent and child equate "good parenting" in the moment to be a "good buddy". But that isn't what sticks.
