And? Even if what you're saying was correct (it really isn't) having children is essentially our biological purpose. People don't like to hear it because they want to believe that they are unique and special but we literally are just here to have sex, create children and then die at some point. Beyond being a natural function it generally does bring joy to people as well. It's about establishing bonds and connections with those you are closest to.

As most of you know I raised one boy. He's an eagle scout, played violin, went to university, got a degree then went into IT and is now married and has his own place. Meanwhile we lost another in the second trimester and I was a single dad. Then I took in two kids of my friend who died of ovarian cancer. Then I helped the youngest daughter and an old friend whose marriage dissolved and lost her job in the same week. Then a homeless girl whose mother had died. She's now married and expecting. The a boy I met overseas whose father was dying and whose mother was blind with cataracts and was caring for two younger sisters. Their "house" was worse than a pig barn. I provided for his funeral, She can see again, the house is rebuilt, the kids are in school, and they survived volcanoes,typhoons, and the pandemic. We don't need new kids. There are plenty around that we need to support right now! And it doesn't need to go through a church. Over ninety percent of the funds you donate to them puts the pastures kids through private college or supports their private planes. Just do something for someone. I got a birthday cake for one fellow overseas and he broke down in tears. No one had ever made a cake for him in his life and he's in his forties. You can do this! If I can, I know you can too!

Got a vasectomy last year and I have never felt better about a medical decision in my life. Just focusing on us and the (adopted) animals. No kids in our plans. Life is good

I can't disagree that Earth will/would be healed by the overnight disappearance of humanity, but I'm kinda attached to living and humanity continuing to exist. Humanity is undergoing change, and humanity will hopefully change before we're changed by outside forces beyond our control.

Drop bombs on Asian countries and these multi national companies. These countries are manufacturing kids and sending them to the western world increasing our pseudo population.

My husband and I don't want kids, he doesn't like em too well and I don't like the responsibility that comes with it.

I agree especially about adoption.
Rationally speaking I don't want children cause I can't give them a decent life, economically speaking. I'm good at dealing with kids and I would be able to not imcolve them in the messy parts of my life. At the same time I don't want to cease having that half of my life.

ANYWAY if I ever decide to have a child, should be an adopted one. There are too many kids and teens suffering out there, I'd be glad to help at least one, if I only could.

It's part of what society says is "normal." Go to college, go tens of thousands of dollars in debt, get married, have kids you may or may not be able to provide for, end up divorced.

It's way too many parents having kids when they realize by the time it's too late that they weren't ready for kids. I am speaking about all generations regardless of their age. We have to deal with their abuse and carry it for the rest of our lives and these same pieces of fucking shit are the same ones who want to be taken care of at old age or for me to forgive my abuser.

It's nothing but generational curses being pass down people should adopt and use all the contraceptives for what they were for and stop having this accident babies and spending the rest of their lives miserable taking it out on their kids which makes them ended up resenting them like they did to us. It has to stop,most people I see breeding did it at a super young age or didn't have any stability in their lives and want to leech off of their realties, it's fucking stupid and pathetic.

It's an unpopular opinion, but I agree with you. Putting more people on this earth isn't helpful for anyone. Yet its also human nature so it will continue to happen anyways.
