Sunday lunch

It was just me and 12 yo for most of the weekend. She wanted to make a special lunch on her own. I gave her £20 in town on Saturday and left her to do her own thing. She bought an enormous turkey leg for next to nothing. We had a delicious turkey curry, rice, cucumber raita and naan bread. Then baked apples stuffed with mincemeat and custard to follow. There was enough for Laura when she got home and leftovers for today 😋

Total cost of ingredients (excluding use of sundries in kitchen) = less than £6 👍 The rest of the £20 note seems to have been spent on dairy milk chocolate 😂

What a kid, she knows how to value shop. That's not a common skill.
